Why Soy?
Soybeans are a natural product grown by American farmers. They are a renewable resource, and grow in abundance in Louisiana and other states. Opting for Heirloom Candles shows you appreciate Louisiana and U.S. farmers and ranchers, and we can’t think of more deserving people to support.
Paraffin, a common component of most candles, is derived from petroleum in the oil-refining process. When burned, it releases toxins and soot into the air.
Soy candles burn cleaner than paraffin, with virtually no “leave behind” in burning. Once you’ve burned your whole Heirloom Candle, you may recycle the container, or simply wash it with soap and warm water, removing any residue, and re-purpose it.
Soy oil also burns at a lower temperature, which means a safer product as your moisturize, and a longer-lasting candle. Please use common sense, though, and burn your Heirloom Candle in a draft-free area, away from the reach of children.
